Plans

Free to use today

Every plan gets the same optimizer, the same exact dimensions and the same independent validation. Plans differ in how big a job can be, how hard the optimizer searches, and how many people and systems can use it.

How the limits work

What is an optimization unit?

A measure of how large the jobs you run are, so that a month of small jobs and a month of large ones are counted fairly. One job counts one unit for each distinct part, one for each stock line, and one for every ten pieces, with a minimum of one. A job of 40 pieces across 6 parts on 2 sheet sizes counts 12 units.

Units are counted by the size of the job, never by how long the optimizer runs. A run that fails, is cancelled or does not pass validation is not counted.

What happens at a limit?

A job with more pieces than your plan allows is refused before it runs, with a message saying so; split it into smaller jobs. When a month’s units are used up, new jobs are refused until the next month begins. Nothing is charged automatically.

What do the paid effort modes add?

Fast builds a layout with the core placement strategies. Balanced and Thorough try many more strategies and then keep improving the best layout, which helps most on large jobs and awkward part mixes. All three produce validated plans; Fast is not less accurate, it searches less.
