Terms of Service
[COMPANY LEGAL NAME] · Effective [EFFECTIVE DATE]
The service
[COMPANY LEGAL NAME] provides a web application and API that compute cutting layouts for sheet, roll and linear materials from the dimensions you supply. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms.
Your responsibility for what you cut
Layouts are computed exactly from your inputs and checked before they are shown, but the result is only as good as the dimensions, kerf, grain and stock you enter. Check critical dimensions before cutting expensive material. Part sizes are treated as finished cut sizes; edge banding and other allowances are your responsibility.
Accounts and keys
Keep your password and API keys secret; you are responsible for activity under them. Revoke a key you think is exposed. One person per account; organizations may add members within their plan's limits.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to access other organizations' data, probe or overload the service, get around plan limits, or use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend access that threatens the service or other customers, and will tell you why where we can.
Plans and billing
Paid plans renew each billing period until cancelled. Prices are shown at checkout and charged by our payment processor. Usage beyond your plan is either refused or, if you have set an overage limit, charged up to that limit and no further. Cancelling stops renewal at the end of the current period. [State your refund policy.]
Your data
Your jobs and results are yours. You give us permission to store and process them to run the service for you. The Privacy Policy explains what we keep and for how long.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the service available but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted. We may change features; we will give reasonable notice before removing something a paid plan relies on.
Warranty and liability
[Disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability, to be written for your jurisdiction. A common approach caps liability at the fees paid in the prior 12 months and excludes indirect losses such as wasted material or lost profit.]
Ending the agreement
You can close your account at any time. We may end these terms for material breach. On closing, we delete your data as the Privacy Policy describes.
