About
Cutting plans you can trust at the saw
NestSmart turns the stock you have and the parts you need into a cutting plan for sheet goods, rolls and linear stock. It is built for people who cut expensive material, where a plan that is nearly right is not good enough.
Who we are
Run by Zachary Medeiros
NestSmart is operated by Viewing Stone Ventures Ltd., a company in Ontario, Canada, and run by Zachary Medeiros.

How it is built
Four rules the whole system follows
Exact, not approximately right
Every dimension is stored as an exact whole number of tiny units, so the 62 7/8 you type is the 62 7/8 on the plan. Nothing rounds between your cut list and the saw.
Checked by something that did not make it
Every plan is re-derived by an independent validator that shares no code with the optimizer. A plan that fails is never shown to you.
The same answer every time
The same job on the same version of the optimizer always gives the same plan, and each run records the version that produced it.
No AI deciding your cuts
Layouts are computed by a deterministic optimizer. No language model decides whether a part fits or how it is cut.
